| The underground tunnels is exactly what it's name states; it is a series of underground tunnels set beneath the city. The tunnels are dark and slightly damp, with areas of dry here and there. There are many hidden entrances and exits to the tunnels, so it is easy to discover them, but it is also easy to get lost in them. You never know what could be lurking behind any corner, and while there is a good supply of food, there is also danger. | |

| This is a continuation from the chatbox. -Shadow slunk though the darkness, his blind eye facing the wall. She only light in the tunnel was produced by a grate every 200 or so feet. He was traveling in the main tunnel at the moment. Every once and a while he'd hear the dripping of water or a snarl off in the distance. He wasn't alone down here, but this was fine, as long as he stayed quiet and vigilant.-
*Apocalypse walked along the shadows, on the look out. Her whole body was stiff, a side effect of growing older. The cold of the tunnel didn't help, but she didn't care much. Just meant she was living. She froze and crouched low to the ground, smelling a canine.*
-As Shadow was walking along he suddenly caught the scent of another canine. The wind was still here, which meant if he could smell it then it could without a doubt smell him as well. He continued along his path, hoping that it would far enough away that he could simply find an exit before he reached it's position. He suddenly felt open air on his blind side. He immediately stood still, the scent was stronger here.-
*Apocalypse sniffed the air, tensing as the canine approached. It moved in what she thought looked like a cautious movement. She was pretty sure this wasn't an infected. It could be the new terror running the streets, but Apocalypse didn't think so. Deciding to take a chance, she stood, still tense.* Hello* she said carefully.*
-Shadow rotated his ear towards the voice, relaxing slightly. The infected didn't talk. He turned his body to face the canine, a female by the sound of it, so that he could actually see what it looked like. He let out a low growl accompanied by a gruff -Hello to you too.- his eyes narrowed as he observed her. She looked old, canines didn't usually get old in this world. This meant that she could definitely be a threat if she chose to be. Making friends might be in his best interests at the moment- | |

| Apocalypse studied the canine for a few moments, eyes narrowed in thought. She decided that the canine in front of her wasn't going to attack her, despite the growl and gruff greeting. The world they lived in took innocent pups and spat them out as hardened adults who have seen too much. A small amount of hostility was expected when you bumped into most canines. Most times she tried to her best to be friendly, but sometimes you must face hostility with hostility. Apocalypse sat back, still on guard and ready to fight or flee if worse came to worse, or an infected decided to stroll by, and smiled at the male.
"Haven't met a canine in a while that hasn't tried to attack me on sight, so this is a rather refreshing change. The name's Apocalypse. You are?"
She asked. | |

| "Same, and it's a pleasure to meet you, Apocalypse." a small smile formed as he spoke the female's name, it was a very fitting with the times. "My name's Shadow." in an attempt to act formal, his smile vanished and his face turned into a blank slate void of almost all emotion. Emotion was one of the only things that separated you from the infected, but it was still a weakness around strangers. He didn't want this female thinking he was soft and getting any ideas. Shadow had no idea how stupid this sounded, as only someone twice as blind as himself could possibly mistake him for being soft. At that moment he decided to attempt conversation with, "So, have you heard any good rumors lately? Any news? It's hard to stay connected down here." | |
